The Grief Centre of Western Australia is delighted to support a Curtin University research project that investigates the effectiveness of writing for wellbeing as a means to transform grief and loss, with Katrin Den Elzen (PhD) leading the research. The research has the support of the Grief Centre of WA and is funded by Lotterywest.

Two participant categories are part of the research: people who are grieving the death of a loved one, and those who grieve another loss, such as a relationship breakdown, divorce, loss of employment or health, disability, infertility, and/or any unwelcome change due to COVID-19. There are no special writing skills necessary.

The research study will take place in April – May 2021.
