The Grief Centre of WA is a Registered Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient. The organisation relies on community support, donations, grants, and trusts to fund our work and help those in grief.
”In every community there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is power to do it. Nothing liberates our greatness like the desire to help, the desire to serve.”
– Marianne Williamson
The demand for our services is increasing as we are approached by various organisations to support those in grief, as well as members of the public finding us online or hearing about us. There are a number of duties volunteers can assist us with, including:
- Basic administrative tasks and phone management, offering support and information to those who visit or call the centre;
- Facilitating workshops and support groups;
- Assisting with the coordination and participation of fundraising initiatives;
- Counselling services.
If you have experience or qualifications which you feel will support the work we do, please contact us here.
NOTE: The Grief Centre is not currently taking on any new volunteers. However, you are still encouraged to contact us and let us know you’re interested so when we are taking on new people, we’ll let you know.
